The Event Riders Association is proud to have launched the Shearwater Eventing Hall of Fame, which has been established to honour and preserve the achievements of the people and horses that have made outstanding contributions to the growth, development, quality, popularity and appreciation of the sport of Eventing on the world stage.
ERA Chairman Clayton Fredericks said "There are many heroes gone by in our sport. With the ERA Hall Of Fame we hope to honour these riders and their magnificent horses, and look forward to re-living some of the stories that made them Champions."
Lucinda Green and Supreme Rock were honoured as inaugural members of The Hall of Fame at a dinner at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2007. At Luhmuhlen Horst Karsten and Watermill Stream were inducted into the Hall whilst at Pau it was the turn of Andre le Goupil and Jean Lou Bigot's 1993 European Champion winner Twist La Beige.
In 2008 Ginny Elliott and Priceless won the vote at Badminton.
Herbert Blocker and Feine Dame were inducted at Luhmuhlen 2008.
Nominations are now open for 2008. Two more members will be announced at Pau CCI****.
